Celebrate Halloween With a Haunted Party

One of the best things about Halloween are the haunted houses and the parties. You can do both: have a party and make your home haunted at the same time. Have costumed guests over for drinks and Halloween fun. Keep your guests wondering what spooky thing they will notice next with your great and careful decorations. They’re creepy, cooky, spooky and down-right fabulous. A really great haunted house will have emphasis on sights and sounds. Don’t just worry about how things look physically. Focus on the feel and ambiance and you’re sure to throw a spooky Halloween Party.

First off, clear out any clutter and store away anything that will detract from your Halloween theme. So that means you should put away the faux floral decor and pretty centerpieces–really anything you don’t need for the party, seating or serving. Make the venue frightful with warm autumn temperatures and be sure to open those windows. Think of how a deserted graveyard must feel. Get mood music for the party  with a soundtrack of Halloween songs and scary sounds. For an added effect, consider renting a smoke machine. You may need two if your party area is large. You can also make smoke with dry ice and you can also use the dry ice for a centerpiece. Turn off the lights! Use candle lights or your dimmer switch.
